  1. This will work only if the unconscious bias training includes training for women about the biases they have toward other women. I have been fired more than once because other women told lies about me. Feminist directors at a women’s resource center bullied female volunteers and staff. One director gave me a list of her duties to perform so that she could spend less time in the office while claiming all of her hours. Female bullies in the workplace mostly target other females. This bias of women towards other women has to be addressed openly for parity to be successful.

    1. Thank you for your comment! I only mentioned unconscious bias training in passing in this particular piece, but this is an important point you bring up. Digging deeper into the topic, like you said, how women treat other women plays a role in parity just as much as how men treat women.

  2. I really like the one about base career progress on business results and performance, not presence. I think it is connected to the unconscious bias too and requires a huge culture change. Thanks.
