  1. Unfortunately the liberal majority long ago decided that Free Speech does not extend to the workplace. The result is that all kinds of exceptions to the Constitutional right to Free (Political) Speech have been carved out…unless you are a liberal working for a liberal boss and company, in which case you may bash conservatives, especially Christians, with impunity. This is not a win for the workplace; this is a chilling, “1984” type of mind control. If only everyone could grasp the concept that others can, and will, use your own freedom-destroying philosophies to do unto you what you have done unto them, we might still be living in a country where Freedom for ALL political views and ALL religions is appreciated and protected. Alas, not so.

    1. People have a right to express just about any opinion they want, under the First Amendment to the United States’ Constitution, regardless of where their opinions lie on the political spectrum. However, they do not have a Constitutional right to hold a particular job, and — when the two conflict — there are consequences.

      1. You’re only partially correct. People do not have an absolute right under the 1st Amendment to express just about any opinion. What they have is a right to do so without government interference or impedance. “Congress shall make no law…” Employee get in trouble when they confuse the reality that the 1st Amendment absolutely does not extend to private businesses.

        1. Apparently, I didn’t express myself very well, because I absolutely agree with what you are saying.
