  1. So i’m guessing Diversity Training will be available only to white males? like some other google training programs that are available only to “women and underserved groups”

    from pichai himself,

“So to be clear again, many points raised in the memo—such as the portions criticizing Google’s trainings, questioning the role of ideology in the workplace, and debating whether programs for women and underserved groups are sufficiently open to all”

    Sufficently?

    Time for pichai to go

  2. Well, no. The first priority is to develop, adopt, and implement nondiscrimination polices, practices, and procedures. Then discover, eliminate, and remedy existing discrimination. Then institute practices like targeted recruiting and outreach. Training, which is so ineffective, is further down the list of priorities. In the case of Google, the memo writer made allegations that Google maintains programs limited to women and people of color. This would be illegal. An investigation should be conducted to discover if this allegation is true, and if true, elimination the racial and sex exclusion.
